PASTORAL VISIT TO UGANDA

In July, I had the privilege to meet and visit the ten church planters that our church-planting initiative funds in Uganda and Kenya. Africa is a challenging cultural shift for me, and I gained respect for those who minister in this environment. These planters are doing a wonderful job - we saw people come to Christ and follow in believer’s baptism.

STREET YOUTH SAVED

David is from our church and found a special burden for street youth - ones that the local churches did not even see, because they were envisioned as untouchable. Five gave their hearts to Christ, attend church weekly and have brought more friends since our visit - all of these young men attend weekly discipleship classes.

BAPTISM

Christoph witnessed to his work colleague, who found that the claims of Christ answered the questions his soul was seeking. Benjamin chose to follow Christ and repent from his sin. He asked Christoph to baptize him and he was baptized while David and I were in Uganda. I meet with Benjamin and others every Thursday to discover their next steps in faith.

Prayer Points‍:

Praise: ‍

  • Lisa (31 years old) has accepted Christ as her savior.
  • The missions trip for the youth has 90% of their needed funds.

Prayer:‍

  • The leadership of the church is prayerfully considering the role of shared leadership in order to provide the church continued leadership in years to come.

Thank you for partnering with us as we seek to obey the great commission - go taking the gospel to the unreached, baptize, disciple.
